Soul Light’s founder and president, Daveda does her most brilliant work in service to people and groups seeking to ignite their genius and make a difference in the world. With playfulness and skill, she creates the conditions for personal and collective transformation by illuminating the greatest potential for growth. Daveda brings wisdom from the nonprofit, philanthropic, advocacy, and creative sectors to frame issues, build teams, and facilitate collaborations. Her calling is to guide leaders, artists, communities, and organizations in imagining and then manifesting their greatest gifts and desires.
When she is not bringing joy and happiness to someone’s day, Daveda is reading, dancing Nia and playing with power tools in her studio. She’s currently creating a multi-media art installation that gives voice to black women who’ve been systemically silenced, and she is completing her first book of poetry. Daveda was born in Bar Harbor, Maine, raised in Chicago, Illinois, and has capered across Europe, India, Turkey, and Africa talking story and making friends. She lives in San Diego, California where endless tacos, abundant sunshine and her daily meditation practice renews her just enough to plan her next great adventure.
